Join us at the American Cancer Society's Big Dig of Michigan on Saturday, July 16th for a one-of-a-kind afternoon. The Big Dig of Michigan allows children of all ages a hands-on and immersive introduction to the construction industry and field of STEM. Our dedicated partners provide pieces of equipment for demonstration allowing children to operate select equipment with assistance of a certified volunteer and photos - in the driver’s seat, or next to these larger-than-life machines! You can also expect construction themed crafts, demonstrations, and activities.
To ensure the health and safety of you, and our staff and volunteers, we have taken additional precautions to ensure a safe and fun event for your family. To read more about our event expectations and precautions please read our Frequently Asked Questions.
The American Cancer Society is working to finish the fight against every cancer in every community. We are the largest private, not-for-profit funder of cancer research in the United States, investing more than $5 billion since 1946. Thanks in part to our contributions, more than 1.5 million lives have been saved in the US in the past two decades. Now, that is a reason to celebrate!
